It must be extremely tiring to do nothing but eat, sleep & poop all day... although when he's awake his arms and legs never stop flailing around. It also must be tiring to grow so much... last week he weighed 11 lbs. 11 oz, which means he's gaining over a pound a week! He'll be wrestling his daddy in no time. 
Another of John's favorite activities... staring at the light on our bedroom ceiling (referred to as "the mother ship")... apparently it is also very entertaining.
John's finally fitting in his sleepers... we have fun just setting him in his crib and watching him interact with his stuffed animals and the bear mobile hanging above him. Mom & dad are SO easy to entertain. :)
John's first real smiles!!! Apparently he just thinks his mom is hilarious. Does it get any better than this? I don't think so. :)
Finally big enough to actually fit in his car seat... he didn't like it much at first, but as you can see, that didn't last long.
A shirt with a collar... that's the best we can do for dressing up now... nothing else fits yet. (We still can't get over his eyes.)
This is one of John's favorite sleeping positions... we think he's going to be a big sports fan.
This was taken 20 March, John's 1-month birthday and his actual due date! We love his big, expressive eyes.
He ALWAYS has his hand by his face (hence the claw-marks which are evidence of one of his favorite past-times... grabbing chunks of his skin with his razor-like talons). Can't wait for his coordination to develop.
He's just so tiny! And strong... you couldn't pry those legs out out of their frog position with a crowbar.
He has the most expressive face (during the hour or so that he's actually awake during the day).
OK, I figured I'd put one on here of little John is the Special Care Nursery... it wasn't fun while he was in there, but now that he's out we figure it won't freak everyone out too much. Luckily he only had that "oxygen helmet" on during the first day. When I went in around 4 a.m. the next morning, they had taken it off a few hourse before. Phew!
This is Michael's favorite picture... he's got it as the desktop for every one of his computers & it also is the picture that comes up on his phone when I call him. Is he a proud pappa, or what!
